1. this is BOGUS.
Feel better?

Seriously, it's all Bullshit at this point - it's like looking at the basball standings in June and extrapolating. Can't be done with any degree of precision. At least not for the top of the standings. I'm from Philly and I should know.

3. Thanks for that info. I saw C-span
pop out those stats a bit ago too. I don't trust polls but I do watch the electoral votes ... Still, it's such a clusterf***. I want us to go to a popular vote system PDQ.

4. Totally so.It's based on the Strategic Visions Poll.Newt's on their board.
Hotline's been pimping that EV map since Tuesday. (At least on Tuesday, they even said on the air that it was based on SV "...a Republican Polling firm."

Hope the numbers are bogus.

8. Probably about right at this moment in time
If the analyst is counting all or most of these states (PA, OH, FL, MO, CO , WI, WV, NV = 108 EV) in with Bush's projected totals. Without doing that he would be closer to 198.
The current state polls lag the nationals and likely still reflect the Bush bounce. It will be the trend from this point on that counts. Kerry will need to close the popular vote gap over the next couple of weeks and the EC will tighten up again. Keep tuned
