And he should say that publicly!

"I will not resign until John Cornyn and David Vitter resign."

3. Should he put his thumbs in his ears and stick his tongue out while he says it?
That would put the cherry on top.

4. Pardon me for being dense
But what do Vitter and Cornyn have in common with Burris?

Am I missing something?

7. That's true
But unless they're all dragged kicking and screaming to the bench, that ain't gonna happen.

9. Agreed. I'm just drawing the parallels. I'd be happy to drag them there
myself if I thought it would make a difference.

10. I don't think its a defense. I think Burris should go, in fact, I didn't think
he should ever have been allowed in. Anybody whose rubbing elbows with scum is gonna have a bit of filth on them too. However, I think the point was just the inequity of the situation. Their guys get caught red-handed and yet they refuse to go and the party doesn't even seem to mind. When one of our guys is a jerk, we do something about it for the most part. You can bet the GOP will try to make us look unethical if we don't oust him but what are they doing about their guys. That's the point in my mind. They need to play by the same rules or admit publicly that they're corrupt and they don't care.

13. I totally agree, he should have never even accepted the nomination. He should resign.

12. Burris isn't going anywhere until voters have their say in the next election.
This drama is good for selling papers and filling up news media time but that's about it. It will pass unless their is some incredibly big smoking gun somewhere that we don't know about.
