Did Obama and Biden fly into Denver separately?
I have always heard the the VP and President are not allowed to fly on the same plane.

1. Yep......
Joe pointed out that Ken Salazar got to ride on the "big plane" on the way out but would have to fly on the "little plane" going home. "You're hitching a ride with me Ken!"

2. Yes.
In his speech just now Biden was kidding Salazar that he flew to Denver with the Prez on "the big plane" but he was going back with Biden on "the small one".

The tail section of Air Force Two, that carried Vice President Joe Biden, is seen at left as Air Force One, carrying President Barack Obama, arrives at Buckley Air Force Base in Colorado, Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009.

20. Just proves that Bono is far more dedicated than most of us.
He managed to find some good in Jesse Helms. And it must have been buried very deep under all that hatred. I wouldn't have had the patience to look for it.

Now that said, as a fan of U2's music since day one, I'm less impressed with the new single than I have been anything since the "Pop" album. Hope the rest of the album is better.

24. totally agree re: the new single, I know one of Jesse Helms' extended family members and
doesn't sound like even THEY could find much to love about him.

26. Actually our VP was sort of friends with Jesse Helms which is weird
but I think that proves more of Biden's ability to be so likable then Jesse Helm's ability to do the same! Jesse Helms also adopted a child with cerebral palsy.

4. For security reasons I don't think the VP and Prez ever fly together
Edited on Tue Feb-17-09 03:11 PM by Jennicut
Just like during the inauguration they did not walk down PA Avenue together.

9. Me too. I said to my husband during the inauguration
"hey, why are they not walking down the street together" and he had to remind me. I hate thinking about it too. Funny, I never cared what happened to Bush and Cheney but I do worry what happens to Joe and Barack. They are good guys.:)

19. Thanks! Went to see the movie last week with my two daughters
and we loved it. Best kids (or adults for that matter) movie that we have seen in a long time. The 3-D effects were amazing. I have become a big fan and want to take the girls to see it again. Not for all kids though, some might get more frightened then others. I have two very brave 3 and 4 year olds who happen to like The Nightmare Before Christmas (the director did Coraline too).

22. I hate thinking about it as well
but it does occur to me frequently. I guess I just have to have something to worry about. Or maybe its because they seem too good to be true.

10. Yes they did.
On 9News, when Air Force One arrived, I distinctly saw Air Force Two (Biden's 757) parked on the tarmac right next to Air Force One's berth.

planes.

.... that they have to race each other. :)

31. More importantly, why did they have to fly to Denver?
Obama could have signed it in DC or was there another reason he needed to be in Denver?
