Is it possible for the Stimulus Bill to remove the tax cuts now that no repubs voted for it?
Now that the bill has passed the house with no repubs voting yes, is it possible for the bill to be modified in the Senate to remove all those useless repub tax cuts from it and put it to more useful things like infrastructure....and if it is possible do you think the tax cuts will be removed and wil it have to go back to the hosue for a vote?

2. Most of those tax cuts are good
We've been fighting for many of them for years. I wish the left would stop knee-jerking the same way the right does.

3. The tax rebates are for the middle class and poor... why would we want them out?

Like the other poster said... quit knee-jerking.

These aren't the Bush tax cuts for the rich....

5. It's unlikely that they would be removed b/c Repug votes will be needed

for the Senate bill to overcome Repug filibusters in order to pass. Not sure what the current status is re: any R Senators crossing over, and whether or not all of the D's plan to support the legislation.
