1. Its rather unusual to have a political couple who are in love like normal people.
The Clinton's didn't really embody that swept up in love look anymore than Georgie and Laura. Many political couples are rarely seem like normal married people. There's looks even more fun than my marriage. The passion is on their faces. I think I'm going to have to pull out some tricks to sparkle up my own. There commitment to their family and each other makes me want to try harder with my family.. and that's a good thing for America to see.

2. That's an interesting observation
But I don't think that it's that unusual for a political couple to be in love. But because they're under such constant scrutiny, such couples tend to be very reserved in public. The Obamas seem to try very hard not to allow the scrutiny to affect their behavior toward one another in public, which is something new and refreshing and so inspiring - maybe others will take follow their lead and become less stiff and stilted.

3. I would say that most of our high up politicians had money prior to politics.
Many float in a different circle than most. The mucky-mucks, where name and family still make a difference... wouldn't want to mix with the un-washed masses. Hopefully, political families and monied interests become less powerful in the next wave of young people who are waiting for their own Obama moves to make. Who knows? I would say many of them, esp pugs, are in convenient marriages... Seriously, what keeps diaper-boy Vitter's wife to stand by him in a live press conference? McCain's wife looked pained every moment she stood next to her husband.

4. Did Vitter come from money?
I don't know anything about his background.

Nevertheless, we agree that it is wonderful to have such a loving family in the White House!
