Four months and many late nights later, Republicans come up with fresh new idea to save economy
House GOP sees stimulus in tax cuts, not spending

By DAVID ESPO, AP Special Correspondent David Espo, Ap Special Correspondent – 1 hr 38 mins ago

*snip*

WASHINGTON – House Republican leaders presented President Barack Obama on Friday with proposals to stimulate the economy that rely exclusively on tax cuts and envision none of the federal spending backed by Democrats and the administration.

...

While Republicans claimed their approach provided for more in tax relief than the Democrats' measure, they said they were still awaiting official estimates. They also said they could not estimate the number of jobs it would create.

It called for reducing the current 10 percent bracket to 5 percent, affecting a taxpayer's first $8,350 in income, and lowering the existing 15 percent bracket to 10 percent, covering income from $8,351 to $33,950.

1. How about tax cuts on the provision jobs stay here in the homeland, for national security?
Instead of tax cuts for companies that do offshore.

Incentives to get Americans out of apathy. Real hope, ROI, and TCO.

6. Dear GOP,
A variety of tax cuts in the last eight years brought us to this point. What makes you think more will actually help? Isn't doing something over and over, expecting different results one symptom of insanity?

Thanks,

yella

7. Same as it ever was, same as it ever was, same as it ever was
Why everyone hasn't come to terms with the fact that the whole agenda is to de-fund the government, funnel money to the wealthy, and put the corporations in a position that they are in all effect the government.

Fascism. Plain and simple.

8. I don't get how this even works
You don't have a job, but hey you got a tax cut. Whoopie.

American people keep more of what they earn to spur investment, encourage savings and create more private sector jobs," Boehner, the GOP's House leader, said in a statement.

So if you do have a job what you're suppose to do with this tax cut is save it, invest it. Because nothing encourages investing like crashing stock prices and horrible savings rates. Anyways how people hording their pennies in the bank helps create jobs is something only Boehner seems to understand.
