I am a little dissapointed in Obama.
He said he was going to bring change to the oval office. But I saw the picture of him in there today, and the office is still fucking oval. What kind of change is that? :argh: This is really depressing.

1. Looks like bush's carpet also. Guess that's why he's not changing the Stem cells rule yet. nt

13. Bush's first looked like circus peanut orange. I think this one is much better.
I thought that out-going prezes usually took their carpet with them.

But if it's publically funded, then it's our carpet.

17. Most governors get to keep their chairs too. As for the carpet...
that is the first presidential decision a new prez-elect makes.

So, the out-going one usually takes the carpet.

29. They usually do.
But Obama decided to keep this one. Was it done intentionally to stop Bush from keeping it? I sure hope so.

36. Someone reported that Bush is honored that Obama is keeping the carpet.
He really loves the carpet and supposedly gets emotional when he talks about it. So I guess it's a nice gesture by Obama.

After all he didn't mind marching over 4,000 of them to their deaths without cause.

AND took a long time to arrive, I think. I'll be glad if he decides NOT to change stuff just for the sake of 'change.' We HAVE the MOST IMPORTANT CHANGE!!!

The $67,000 it might take to replace a nearly new carpet could be used better elsewhere.

46. I know Carter was the one who put the "Resolute" desk in the Oval Office, but it's fugly.
I'd like to see Obama replace it with FDR's desk.

Yeah, yeah-- I know it's in FDR's library, but Obama deserves a desk that hasn't been polluted by eight years of Bush's faux cowboy boots resting on and under it.
