So what's the deal?

Didn't Franken and what's his name in Illinois get sworn in yet?

Were Kennedy and Byrd still out?

I guess we're also short Hillary's seat since she moved up to SoS.

Biden was replaced already.

Just how many Senators ARE there at this point and what's the D-R split and which states have holes left to fill?

It seems like a big mess to me.

6. Salazar, Clinton, Kennedy and Franken's seats are open currently
By open I mean that Kennedy is not present, Franken hasn't been certified, Salazar's and Clinton's replacements are still pending. Nothing new, controversial or indeed unusual here. Very common following a change in administration.
