CNN shows its bias -- AGAIN

Just grabbed this screenshot about 1:30 MST (1/21/2009). Notice the tickler headlines I enclosed in the small red rectange. Guess yesterday's activities haven't sunk in for CNN yet. Sheesh. What a bunch of maroons.

No Bias, it's just a tag on popular articles.

And technically, he does get to keep the "president" title, at least casually. Formal use is, of course, Former President Bush

I don't mind the *former* used to indicate a no longer sitting president. I was upset, however, when President Clinton was referred to as *ex-President.* (I heard this a few years ago on some newsy channel)

I was replying to the poster who mentioned that formally, the title is Former President. I was mentioning that it wasn't so great to hear President Clinton referred to , some time ago, as Ex President which implies that he was removed from office before his term ran out.

I, too, am underwhelmed at the people who write these crawls and captions.

It's with the lack of a title in front of Obama's name. If you're going to have "President" in front of Bush's name, then you damn well should have it front of the CURRENT President's name.

I guaran-freaking-tee you there are far, far more articles on CNN with the "President Bush" tag, than ones with the "President Obama" tag. Eight years worth of articles vs. one day? Yeah, sorry, it might be a while before "President Obama" makes it to the top of the queries list on CNN.
