Kudos to Presidential Prayer Team
http://www.presidentialprayerteam.org/site/PageServer?pagename=ppt_homepage

This group started after 9/11, as an online presence that was praying for then-President Bush (feels good to put it in the past tense). I was highly, highly skeptical of this group, and challenged them in 2004 as to whether or not they would continue for John Kerry were he to be elected. They said he would - and I was still very, very skeptical.

Today, they've proven me wrong. Still going about their business of prayer in much they same manner as they have since they started. I guess this is just a public mea culpa, and say that I'm happy to have been proven wrong.

1. I just hope their prayers for Obama are not condescending and demeaning
Like "Oh, we pray that he flip flops on abortion", etc.

3. Me too, but that has not yet been the case.
They've actually been mostly good about keeping politics out of it, sticking to praying for their health, guidance, and wisdom generally, and for the safety of our troops. Heck, they've even got one for Senator Kennedy today, which is rather nice.

can't say if that's the norm - I certainly don't visit every day, or even "once in a while" really.

2. How about the Presidential Sacrifice Team? How are they doing? Got enough goats?
And the Finger-crossing team, how are they? The salt-over-the shoulder Team?

4. *shrug* I dunno.
Look, I don't buy into it. But fair is fair. I called them out, and I appear to have been wrong.

8. Thanks for sharing
I want to check this out, because I like praying for others. I think I've heard of it before, but I wasn't interested in praying for Chimpy. However, I would really like to pray for Obama. I wouldn't feel like I was praying for a war I didn't support.
