No irritating interruptions at just the wrong time, and intelligent people commenting with a global aspect..

They also cut away to Kenya, Japan and a few other places and interviewed people there:)

1. Did thay have Karen Hughes and John Bolten on again?
:eyes:

Don't get me wrong I love the Beeb usually, but their political coverage this year has been awful on BBC America and Katy Kay is a bushbot...

2. Oh damn - I wish I would have thought about that.
I usually watch their evening news, but not once thought about watching the inauguration on that station.

5. That's the beauty of the BBC

Under their charter they cannot advertise if that's what you meant by irritating interruptions . I watched it in HD on our proper BBC here in the UK but I'm guessing you got exactly the same coverage on their World service.

edit - you wouldn't believe how I spelt advertise....lol.

6. I meant the incessant yapping of our commentators.. I think we did have a few commercials
because it was BBC-America, but they were few..

the BBC sell their World Service and the buyers then insert the ads.

Yes - they do have good commentators with enough common sense not to talk across each other and just serve up the meat without the gravy....lol.

edit to add : we didn't just have it on the Beebs News channel : it was on BBC1 which is their main broadcast channel.

:hi:

8. Dang, your kitties are cute!
I didn't hear it on BBC, but wanted to remark on your sweet kitties.

I watched it at work today (my office had three TV's set up in three separate locations) on CNN. We were able to see the swearing in and Obama's speech uninterrupted.

It was a great day!
