All of you haters, who are putting down Obama for this and that, and this and that that you don't like, and who he picked for this and that, I wanna know how many of you have run for president. If you would do everything perfect, then why wouldn't you? Everybody would vote for you.

4. Isn't this what the other side said in the run-up to the Iraq war?
"Think you can do better? YOU run for President! Thank God we've got George Bush to protect us and not pansy liberals like you!"

What's wrong with honest criticism?

6. I honestly did not hear that particular line of reasoning.
I mean, we were two years from the last election, and two years to the next. It wouldn't even make sense.

The "you think you can do better?" retort was commonplace around here.

No, he didn't....Some fools just don't get it, or weren't listening, or never liked him, ever.

16. Wow, talk about a straw man.
"All of you haters"

First of all I've seen few if any people expressing hate. Disagreeing with Obama's actions is not hate. Let's not start the GW kind of logic here.

"who are putting down Obama"

Again, they are disagreeing with his actions. Characterizing this as "putting down" seems a bit unsupportable.

"and this and that that you don't like, and who he picked for this and that, I wanna know how many of you have run for president."

You might wanna look up the definition of "non sequitur". A critique of a public office holder is practically a civic duty, and has nothing really to do with whether one has ever been a candidate.

"If you would do everything perfect, then why wouldn't you? Everybody would vote for you".

And I'm not sure where perfection fits into this subject either. How much imperfection has to be exhibited until it is critique worthy? It is our job, as supporters, to critique and disagree with Obama when we judge he has made mistakes. A big part of Bush's problems are because congress would not fulfill their role as an agent of oversight and shared responsibility for governing. His mistakes went relatively unchecked by his supporters. Let's not make that same mistake when Obama does. If there is a critique to make it is to ensure that those who criticize him, also praise him when it is due.

21. This is so tiring
I had to sit through 8 years of Republicans telling me to "love it or leave it". Guess it'll be 4 - 8 years of Dems having a go.

No one here (sans obvious trolls) "hates" Obama. In this country we are allowed, obliged even, to offer dissenting opinions when we have them. Some folks even think that's what makes this country great.
