IBM Selectic Composer for sale on ebay.
Take a look at the user name of the high bidder.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=41816&item=3839419995&rd=1

If I really believed the freepers had any intention of keeping their word on the $10,000(or whatever it is now) prize, I might bid.

Maybe we can pool our money and then get Michael Moore or any good liberal attorney to help us collect.

3. did you read the high bidder's "Me" page?
Click on the "Me" link next to his name to see a page full of wingnut bullshit about the memos. At the bottom he provides three links: "Truth & Freedom" which leads to freeperville; "Lies" which leads to CBS News; and "Idiocy" which leads to - can you guess? - Skinner's thread with documented proof that Bush lied about serving in the Air Force. Nice of him to give folks an easy link to the proof! This freep just registered with eBay on Sunday.

He is in a bidding war with someone calling himself "superscripted_th" who has been on eBay for several years but changed his username on Sunday from "aliensatemybuick." He's on our side and his "Me" page is interesting too. He started bidding earlier than the freep, and I have a feeling he'll win.

And no matter who wins, our economy will be stronger thanks to eBay. :eyes:

5. interesting
Are they allowed to post their politics on eBay? If not, the new bitter (bidder) is going to get into a lot of trouble with his diatribe on John Kerry.

6. I purchasing to prove anything, it may not.
IBM Selectric typewriters had different font heads available. I remember High School we would change the font head from one machine to the other just to frustrate the typing teacher. There was something about each font head specific to the model or machine. It would really mess the typewriter up.

7. A week ago, I bet you could not get ten dollars
for one of those dinosaurs. Right now the high bid is ay $127.00. I hope someone bids that worthless junk up to $500.00 and then the freep has to pay another $50.00 for shipping. Putzes!

8. I went a little further and reported this jerkkk to ebay
Here is my letter. I suggest other members do the same, and
do searches to find other abuses!
********************
I believe this user has used his/her ebay ID in violation of your rules:
{(e) be defamatory}
And has used his/her id in a way that is inconsistant with your laws in that if you check out the "about me" page, it is all political as it is NOT "about me" at all. It is titled "John Kerry & Dan Rathers latest mis-adventure".
Additionally, the user is "clever" (NOT) in using the ebay ID in an obscene way, I. E. john_kerry_blew with the "about me" symbol so it reads "john kerry blew me"
This is disgusting and using ebay as a political forum which I do not believe is right.
Please cancel this person's auction immediately and screen your database for further such abuse of your system, i.e. not allowing usernames with the candidates names, or any more "about me" pages using either candidates names.
I come to ebay to shop and relax. I don't need to find such trash and confrontational political abuses at ebay.
Thank you!

10. I did the same

I also reported this ID...how offensive!!! If others could as well, this would be great! Go to site map>Rules & Safety (under Help)>Rules for Everyone>Profanity>Offensive User ID.

Please be sure to add the info about the "About Me" page.

9. Don't waste your money: The IBM Exectutive Model D and
the copy machine at work will reproduce the documents easily. But to satisfy the Freepers at CNN, you will need Jesus to bring Killian back to sign his name while Wolf Blitzer watches.
