Poll question: Poll: Which are you more excited about: the end of Bush or the beginning for Obama?
Edited on Sat Dec-13-08 01:41 AM by democrattotheend
I honestly can't decide whether I am more excited about the end of the Bush Administration or about the start of Obama's presidency. I've waited for the former for 8 long years, but the latter is just so exciting. So I thought I'd post the question to all of you and see whether people are more excited about Bush's last day or Obama's first day.

4. tough choice...

12. "A cookie"? I was thinking more like 'a job', or 'healthcare', or 'an electric car'
Not a tough choice for me?

Bush was bad, but Obama is in a position to do some really great things for the world. Great things that could last for decades. We'll get over the Bush presidency.

I voted I am more excited about Bush FINALLY leaving office.

ON EDIT: I'm a pragmatist. Can't help it.

6. Known known. Bush go bye-bye.
Known unknown. Obama to be president.

Sad fact: I channeled that Rumsfeld "known unknown" spiel for that.
Sadder fact: I understood what Rummy was saying.

13. Hey, I found myself rooting for Dick Cheney the other day
When he was trying to get support for the auto bailout. Stranger things have happened, I guess.

18. Really?
Nothing McCain said indicated we wouldn't be getting more of the same.

9. Obama. I have managed to ignore the W regime as much as I could
for 8 years. It will be pleasant to find a real person in charge, and interesting to watch his administration repair and rebuild our country.

16. A surprisingly hard question!
We are about to go from the worst president in our history to someone who will probably be one of the best. Both sides of this coin are very, very shiny.

I have to say on balance that I am slightly more excited to get rid of bush and his horrible administration. The destruction he has brought to our nation, our world, and our planet is almost too much for the mind to encompass. This awful national nightmare will end soon, although it is becoming obvious that time itself is slowing down as the blessed day approaches.
