MO-Sen: Statewide Recruitment Thread
http://www.swingstateproject.com/showDiary.do?diaryId=4115

The seat of GOP Sen. Kit Bond is up in 2010, and all eyes in Missouri are waiting for Bond, who will turn 71 that year, to signal his re-election plans. Missouri SoS Robin Carnahan seems to be topping a lot of short lists of potential candidates to take on Bond, but if not her, then who should run? And if Bond retires, who do you see stepping up for Team Red?

1. For The Red Team
Possibly Jim Talent as he did lose to McCaskill but it was close. Maybe the current Boy Gov., Matt Blunt

For The Blue Team, Hmmm... beyond Carnahan, don't know.

Will Matt dare try to run for re-election after his disastrous term as governor? I'd like to see Robin Carnahan take the seat.

3. Well,
there is time for Matt to remake his image in the next few years or he can hang on for Mittens to see if he can get a job in his campaign and administration which is what I believe he was really angling to get. I don't think the pass on the run for Gov. was due so much to his poor performance, he and Talent were both looking for slots with Mitt in DC.
