The newest and most cherished MSM meme: The Left Is Furious
This is so fucking obvious. The dimwits are trying to chip away support from Obama. And is it true? If so, I haven't seen much evidence of it. Not here at DU, not at Kos. Sure it's true on such sites as one that must not be named, but those folks never supported him. Hell, a good number of them didn't even vote for him. The MSM is so transparent. Assholes.

1. And since when did they care about how 'the left' felt to begin with.
Yep. Assholes, filling space.

er, wait. Didn't work then, won't work now.
Just a bone for the rabid RW who never see, hear or read reality.

5. LOL!!!
Let's start with a simple line... from left to center to right... there are stark divisions along the way...

Never mind. If you have to start that base, well, you have to ask yourself, is it worth it? No, I think not.

9. Wise wasn't talking about the center or the right.
You didn't read it either, did you?

Holy cow. I've been assuming people read much more than they do. lol

6. no, I sure didn't. that article was about a very small segment of the
left. Call them the PI left. And most of those people didn't even vote for Obama. Perhaps you should have read the article. And I'm surprised that you don't know who Tim Wise is.

11. Oh, I did.
And if you can't grasp that there's a faction of the left that's completely out of touch- you aren't paying attention. The faction of the left that acts as Wise describes does NOT define the left.

14. Wise doesn't define "a faction" of the left. He's completely entwined
with them and waffles on his description of the big bad "them". As I said above, I don't want to disrupt this different thread.

7. By all means, let them continue with the meme.
Whatever Obama looses in support from the left over it will be minimal, and will be more than regained from the center-right elements of the country who will support anything that pisses the left ff.

19. Doesn't take much bitching from us for them to hike their hitch to that trailer, it seems.....
Probably 5 threads at DU and elsewhere expressing discontent, and the MSM is good to go. Only in the world of the MSM does a handful of discontents become "The Left".

20. they've been furious for a long time...
and rightfully so. They expect more of the same, and they will get it. The pendulum doesn't swing that fast, unless it comes with a wrecking ball. It's all or nothing, black and white. No interest in the progress, not perfection thing. The problem I have is with people who know what they can not know..like the future.

21. .
The msm is fanning the flames of the non existent fire now just like they fanned the flames of the bogus, Repug dirty trick PUMA fire during the primaries. They build false narratives so they can create provocative headlines, and bloviate for days/weeks on end. The msm is one big bs machine cranking out lies, half truths, twisted truths, and innuendo.

24. MSM hasn't been able to gin up a fight between Obama and Clinton,
so now they've moved on to how upset left wing bloggers are. Except we aren't. A few are unhappy about some picks, but all things considered I doubt anyone on the left would wish it was McCain doing the picking.

26. I noticed this, too. They are wrong, of course, when they say that the cabinet guides policy.
They TOTALLY disregard the fact that....it is OBAMA who provides the change and guides the course of policy. The others examine, analyze, advise, recommend, etc. But the President listens to all of that (except in the case of Bush, who didn't listen to any disagreeing points of view and merely did what Cheney & other neocons told him to...so he could go on a vacation and forgeddaboudit), and then decides on the course of action. Then the cabinet members' jobs are to implement Obama's course of action.

This is la-la-land that the Republicans are living in. The smart ones KNOW that Obama will guide the course, and the changes. And the other ones, in their stupidity, are foolishly thinking that Obama picking Clinton, who voted for the Iraq War, means that SHE will be guiding our policy in Iraq.

Let them revel in the mud for awhile longer, until they are forced to see, as events unfold, the truth.

It is frustrating to see the same architects of things like banking deregulation during the Clinton administration being given the keys again.
