This thing ain't over yet! Five other races (besides Minnesota and Georgia) to keep on eye on.
There are 5 House seats yet undetermined in the next Congress:

Louisiana, 2nd and 4th district: due to Hurricane Gustav, the House Primary elections in this state were delayed for a month. Of these, two resulted in runoffs scheduled for Nov. 4, and the General will be held on December 6th.

#2: Remember "Dollar Bill"" Jefferson? He's all ours again, having won the Democratic runoff in spite of 16 counts of corruption hanging over his head. This guy is basically the Ted Stevens of New Orleans, and I'm sorely tempted to root for the Republican (unknown Joseph Cao) simply to preserve our party's dignity.

#4: Far less ambiguous is the race in western Louisiana, where our guy, District Attorney Paul Caramouche is trying to turn the district blue for the first time in 20 years. His opponent, John Fleming, was NOT the guy picked by retiring Incumbent Jim McCrery, so it looks like another smart guy vs. maverick contest.

California 4th district: Tom McClintock is ahead of Charlie Brown by 204 votes. After so many years of John Doolittle (better known as Jack Abramoff's pal), it'd be nice to get a Democrat in Northeastern California--so lets keep our fingers crossed.

Ohio 15th district: Steve Stivers is leading Democrat Mary Jo Kilroy by even less, 144 votes. Another traditionally Republic area (Columbus suburbs) vacated by a corrupt incumbent (Deborah Pryce) that could go either way.

Virginia 5th district: Central Virginia's Dems should throw a party when scumbag xenophobe Virgil Goode finally concedes the race to Tom Pereillo. As is, Pereillo is up by 745 votes, and although that slim margin means there may be a recount, it seems pretty likely that Goode will lose this one. (Thank God!)
