The cousins' family feud got a lot of local press, but you may not be as familiar with it. It's worth knowing about because of the enormous cachet of the Pritzker family's power and the size of its fortune, both now diminished by "a torrent of anger, greed and betrayal."

This Vanity Fair piece was published in 2003, so it does not cover Penny Pritzker's involvement with Barack Obama's campaign - or for that matter, her brother's role in Hillary Clinton's campaign. You can read about that here.
