Will CBS's Courage Embolden The Rest Of the Media?
How can any self respecting journalist see what is going on and not want to be on the side of the truth. What is going on- WTF happened?

1. You identified the problem.
There are almost no self-respecting jounalists left. They're all on their knees before BushCo.

2. It Only Will Take One Other Network to Make it Happen.
We must keep the pressure on all of them.

13. I've lost all respect for most mainstream media

I find it absolutely incredulous that the news cycle is being twisted to whether the documents are forgeries and not the information they put forth. This has Rove written all over it. There is nothing they won't stoop to. And all of the talking wonks are falling in line and making CBS and Dan Rather the story instead of the real issue. By doing this they have forever eradicated the truth about BoyGeorge's TANG service. All the "patriotic, holy roller, head-up-their-butt masses will remember is that "someone" told them they are fakes and that's good enough for them. Believe George, end of story.

Right now I am so pissed at the slobbering dogs that are called network news, the crooks in the White House and the dumb ass people who don't love our country enough to ask a few damn questions for themselves I could spit. These drones are saying the hell with war dead, the hell with the economy, the hell with the deficit, unemployment, foreign policy, health care, to a lying thieving administration, the future, and the hell with the United States of America - these people don't care.

The news networks don't even pretend to be competitive anymore - they are the best damn paid whores in the country right now. And how on earth do you fight corruption in the White House, unlimited money willing to buy an election and a 50% of a nation who are lemmings?

5. No!
They are owned by BushCo. It has nothing to do with respect or honor or anything else. These guys are told what the score is and will not defy the boss.

7. It depends on the ratings! If CBS ratings skyrocket, then yes!
This is why we are seeing all the netweorks being all over the place. They keep trying out different tactics. If one hits the magic, they will all follow.

8. After years of doublespeak bullcrap
I think folk out there are starting to get hungry for some honesty.

Bush and the neo-con propaganda machine will one day (soon methinks) experience a massive backlash as the country rejects their wet dreams of absolute power.

9. No, Rather Can Do It Because He's Established
CNN, MSNBC, etc. will still go with the forgery story. They're beholden to their right wing management and viewers.

Lately, he's been sounding like a parrot. I guess he doesn't want to re-live 30 years ago, either.
