Per ABC News: Clinton insider heading up vetting of Hillary for SoS
Don't know if that's good (they've got trust and will hence divulge everything) or bad....

But according to Jake Tapper's blog on ABC News Christine Varney is doing the SoS vetting.

BTW, this is just an FYI and can't say I like it or not....just passing it on for the DU SoS-stakes junkies.

Here's a little bit about her:

CHICAGO -- A Syracuse native and former Hillary Rodham Clinton supporter was named today to President-elect Barack Obama's transition team.

Christine A. Varney will be responsible for "personnel counsel," according to a release from the Obama-Biden transition team. Her responsibilities will include helping Obama with his Cabinet, said her father, John Varney, of Skaneateles.

After serving as lawyer to the 1992 Bill Clinton presidential campaign, the graduate of Corcoran High School and Syracuse University's Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs was appointed Clinton's Secretary to the Cabinet and later to the Federal Trade Commission.
This year, she was a Hillary Rodham Clinton fundraiser before backing Obama in the national election, John Varney said.

"She's very excited," her father said. "She has considerable experience in dealing with the cabinet."
Varney, who lives in Washington, D.C., will take an indefinite sabbatical from her practice at the Hogan & Hartson law firm, where she is partner and heads the firm's Internet practice group.
