It is consistent with his message of one President at a time. Bush is in charge of this summit. Obama's people will give him an overview of what was discussed and if there was anything beneficial from it.
6. I disagree. Obama was correct to stay away, and Bush was correct not to push it.
There's no telling what the next couple of months might bring; and those leaders need to know/understand that Bush is still the president and the one who will get credit or blame for any stupid shit this government does.
When Obama is in the last couple of months of his presidency, I wouldn't want the new president-elect to start throwing his weight around and pushing Obama out of the way.
I can't stand Bush and wish Obama could take the oath today. But that's not possible, so we (and the rest of the world) are stuck with Bush until 1/20/09.
