This is the e-mail I just sent to CBS:

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Dan Rather on doing an excellent job of reporting and standing by his story in the face of partisan attacks.

It was wonderfully done, and the questions raised are vital to finding the truth about the honesty and integrity of the man occupying the Whitehouse.

Thank you! First for bringing the story to light in the first place, and secondly (perhaps more importantly) for standing by that story and substantiating it with expert testimony and information.

It's always refreshing in this day and age of biased "news" sources like Fox to see true journalism at the fore once again.

Kudos to you.

I was in the middle of it when my father on the east coast of Florida called to tell me he's going to be without electricity until September 18, poor guy, and I missed most of it.

I did send an encouraging E-mail to CBS News, told them to stick to their guns, that I was an old bag who'd used Selectric typewriters, and most of the freepers trying to claim they are forgeries are younger than the documents are.
