Ok, I admit it, I miss the election.

It's a week after we all cast our ballot for Obama and I miss it. Tuesday I was a nervous mess the entire day, but the final hours of that night were some of the greatest of my life. I miss waking up and looking at polls, checking state data and watching Obama give speeches all over this great country. I miss predicting how many states Obama would win, debating whether Pennsylvania was a true battle ground or wondering if he'd really break 50% nationally.

It's like when your team wins the championship (actually, I'll never know what that feels like, since I'm a Utah Jazz fan). The game ends and it's over, but you're kind of nostalgic for it and watch the game over and over again, remembering what it was like to be there, cheering the team on during their run.

And now it's over. :(

Damn.

2. That's exactly how I feel.
Spent 3 months every single day at campaign headquarters. Went home after work to change into my comfy clothes to stand outside, make sure people were registered to vote. And now... I have nothing to do lol. All the anxiety has been replaced with the feeling of being let loose in the middle of Tokyo.

3. If you really miss it ,remember the REcons are off and running.
You could start a 2012 group and make sure we win again. It's all waiting for you. Happy again?

4. I know what you're saying, and I feel your pain.
Just today I looked at the clock, saw it was a little past one, and though, "Oh, I should go check Gallup!".

And then I died a little inside. :P

6. lucky me,
I knew I would be missing the chaos of emotion once this was over.

We do need the lull to attain new energy for the work to be done soon. I'm filling my time imagining a better way for this new America. IMHO those at the top of this financial crisis will soon mingle with us at the bottom with grand schemes we need to be wary of. We need to be on our game in excellent mental health.

8. I'm actually taking some time to relax now.
As much as I'm a political addict, now's the time to take a break, get some time away from politics, play some video games, go for a drive in the mountains, etc.

Y'know, things I do to make myself less of a basket case.
