let me try to explain this in a simple and easy way that you'll all
understand. many here will not accept it because they're too far gone
into thinking FR is some vital tool america needs, when in reality in
it just a text-only messageboard.

1. freerepublic does not cost 66,000-80,000 dollars per quarter to run
and does not cost 264,000-320,000 dollars per year to run (assuming
jim rob is telling the truth about donations he collects.)

2. in reality, a site like FR costs about 2,880-12,000 dollars per
year to run.

3. where is all that extra cash going to? certainly not to
maintaining a quality-run website as today shows yet again. and even
if it did, there would still be so much left over.

face it people, jim robinson is living on easy street off your
donations. that site doesn't cost anywhere near what he says he needs
to keep it running. if you have no problem with that is cool. pay
for john robinson's new car or his dad's bi-weekly olive garden
restaurant bills. but as a current registered and active posting
freeper (and i am), i think jim robinson should at least be honest
about what he does with the money.

i hope some of the more sane here will take time to consider this
dishonest scam seriously. to the other who won't think for two
seconds and just squeal "zot, troll", all i can say is i pity you.

This would be a nightmare scenario: Obama does something really objectionable to conservatives, then hackers cripple all the conservative sites at once preventing knowledge from being shared and analyzed. If the Fairness Doctrine is jammed through Congress, so that conservative talk radio is not available, then the next enemy they'd go after is the internet, specifically conservative websites and forums.

All that would be left is the DBM and Obama propaganda.

Conservative websites and forums have to do everything possible to prevent attacks which would take them down.
