What role will Fixed News play in an Obama administration?
I have a feeling that we are in a very precarious situation in this country right now.

Our economy is faltering, we are borrowing huge sums of money from China, to keep our wars and country going, and we have two wars going on. This is a major cluster fuck.

On top of that, We have news organizations (Fixed News) and right wing
nuts (Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reilly) who have made it a career of trying to destroy the Democratic party, and now Obama is president.

This seems like a perfect storm to me, and if the wing nuts continue their divisiveness, I do believe that they have it within their power to bring this great country down to its knees.

Remember, Clinton only had to deal with Fixed News the last couple of years of his presidency. Obama will have to deal with it from day one.

I don't think Fixed News will give him any chance at all. I also believe that Fixed News is radical and reckless in their reporting and that many Republicans (30 % of this country) are programmed by Fixed News.

It will be interesting to see what Fixed News does now. But if history is any indicator of the future, this does not look good.

1. They weren't able to stop him from winning the election.
Obama and his staff will have to continue the same type of rapid response they did during the campaign. I have confidence that Robert Gibbs will treat them as the Republican hacks they are.

2. Yep. It'll be a program of fast and reasonable responses...
Not to mention, we all know now that Hannity is scared shitless of Gibbs after getting his ass sliced, diced and handed back to him with a smile during that whipping Gibbs handed to Hannity recently. From what I've heard already, the nuts on the far right will continue to stoke the flames of hate, but right now is their window, as Obama has already indicated he's going to lay low for a bit given that 'there's only one President at a time.' When Obama takes office and begins to shape the national discourse, these hateful, sometimes treasonous in my opinion asshats will be marginalized to the fringes where they belong. Uncle Rupie may be a neo-con freak, but he's a businessman first, and if Fixed sees its ratings drop and its credibility sink even further, they'll be forced to make some slight changes.

3. It could be that Faux has checked the political wind
They ran pieces on the infighting between Palin and McCain camps that painted her in quite an unflattering light. The Freeps are calling for a boycott over it... when you get them to boycott you, you have to be doing something right.

4. The vitriotic hot air spewing from their mouth holes
will attempt to fan the flames of racism and hatred. The lack of any self esteem has always denoted Faux reporters and Faux fans from the better part of humanity.
