Preaching to the Choir....
I really like this site. It is great to find so many fellow dems, but I see too much preaching to the choir here and too much of ignoring the groups of voters that will make or break this election for us.

I think there is a definite difference in the way liberals and conservatives process information. We simply have not learned the best tactics yet and it is getting us kicked right in the rear end.

For example, all of us rave about Kerry's command of the English language and grammar and shiver at Bush's butchery. So what does that say about us as a country when likability is more important than substance?

We need to quit fooling ourselves - if Bush gets back in office, he will have the opportunity to nominate at least three Supreme Court justices. Have we heard about that? How about a woman's right to choose? And where has John Ashcroft been? These are all examples of how Rove and company know how to fight better than we do.

And here is one thing Kerry should do - tell the American people that if Bush/Cheney are re-selected, then we will be fighting in Iran next. That Bush/Cheney will continue on in their mad quests.....

He needs to talk about a renewed draft and scare the shit out of people...

1. Preaching to the choir is one of the things this site is about.
People come here to vent and get feedback.

However, I see plenty of people disagreeing with each other on ideas, and about how things should be done.

Kerry should do this -- Kerry should do that.

We get our news here and sometimes we get help with ideas and research.

Notice that many of us are not just sitting in front of the computer. We are writing LTTEs, working with our local committees, registering voters, or working for something like ACT. Notice how many threads there are about how someone has changed at least one person's mind about voting for *.

Some of us have discussed the things you mention in your post, here, or out in the real world.

This site is for Democrats. Of course we are the choir.

2. No matter how good your intentions are,
I think, perhaps, your timing is not auspicious.

3. Well, get off yer duff
and start writing LTTEs that are timely and auspicious. Find what you want to hammer on and go for it.

4. The Supreme Court, PNAC and the draft, Tom Delay and Ashcroft
are winning points for Dems. You are absolutely right.
