Am I the only one who thought they looked pissed off, and not only about losing the election.
Todd Palin looked especially pissed off about something. I think they were dissed badly.

Even though she's technically governor, it didn't come off as a sterling testimonial (and she seemed to grimace sotto voce to T.P.). I think she wanted to whip em up with a "Don't Cry For Me" beer-hall-putsch type speech and she was denied for McCain's angstrom of posterity.

25. Palin asked to speak and THEY TOLD HER NO!!!!!!
She spent TENS OF THOUSANDS MORE that has been reported. She went "nuts" buying stuff for her husband and now they are reporting those clothing items are "lost". She wanted to speak last night and they told her NO!!!

http://www.newsweek.com/id/167581/page/1

NEWSWEEK has also learned that Palin's shopping spree at high-end department stores was more extensive than previously reported. While publicly supporting Palin, McCain's top advisers privately fumed at what they regarded as her outrageous profligacy. One senior aide said that Nicolle Wallace had told Palin to buy three suits for the convention and hire a stylist. But instead, the vice presidential nominee began buying for herself and her family—clothes and accessories from top stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. According to two knowledgeable sources, a vast majority of the clothes were bought by a wealthy donor, who was shocked when he got the bill. Palin also used low-level staffers to buy some of the clothes on their credit cards. The McCain campaign found out last week when the aides sought reimbursement. One aide estimated that she spent "tens of thousands" more than the reported $150,000, and that $20,000 to $40,000 went to buy clothes for her husband. Some articles of clothing have apparently been lost.

An angry aide characterized the shopping spree as "Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus from coast to coast," and said the truth will eventually come out when the Republican Party audits its books.

McCain himself rarely spoke to Palin during the campaign, and aides kept him in the dark about the details of her spending on clothes because they were sure he would be offended. Palin asked to speak along with McCain at his Arizona concession speech Tuesday night, but campaign strategist Steve Schmidt vetoed the request.

79. McCain being offended about the spending?
It was more like he would be pissed instead of spending. Say what you want about Cindy McCain, at least she spent her own money on clothes. She didn't expect the Republican Party to reimburse her. I do have two questions though: How do you lose thousands of dollars worth of clothing? How do you have a Presidential ticket in which the candidates rarely speak to each other?

31. It was reported that she believed McCain's staff botched their handling of her
and that their incompetence led to her negative reviews, esp. after the Couric debacle. And that supposedly that's why she went all "rogue" on the campaign trail, thinking she possessed enough magical star power to make everyone love her.

Her narcissism will never allow for soul searching, self blame or self criticism for how she conducted herself. She will never formulate any self awareness of how the more she put herself out there, the more the sane majority was turned off by her vapidness and her appeal to hatefulness.

In other words, it will always be someone else's fault. I'm sure that she and Tawd are convinced that McCain was an albatross around THEIR necks and that if not for him they would be reaping the glory they so richly deserve.

Exactly like someone I used to work with. Needing constant approval, stemming from deep self-doubt. Narcissists will do anything to get approval, especially throwing others to the wolves so they look good. Narcissists don't think they are ever good enough, contrary to what our perception of 'narcissist' is.

I'm sure that she and Tawd are convinced that McCain was an albatross around THEIR necks and that if not for him they would be reaping the glory they so richly deserve.

She apparently came to believe the hateful rhetoric coming from her own campaign rallies -- that she was Esther, a Republican savior, and that Obama was a terrorist who didn't love his country etc. It's too bad that the lessons from this entire experience will go right over her empty head.

The camera never showed her face till near the end. And after McSame finished, he turned to her and the First Dud, acted as if he'd get a disease if he touched them, then seemed to forget Cindy was there at all. I thought he was going to walk past her. Must have been furious at having them on-stage with him. Cindy was probably on the receiving end of a few choice expletives last night, prompted, no doubt, by the crux of his failure rearing her head right behind him.

60. Palin wasn't allowed to speak at McCain's concession speech.
"Palin asked to speak along with McCain at his Arizona concession speech Tuesday night, but campaign strategist Steve Schmidt vetoed the request."

She probably wanted the opportunity for opportunist reasons.

63. Dana Bash from CNN said Palin was just hanging out in her hotel lobby...
I'm guessing she was just waiting for some attention.
she did talk to Bash for a bit, but I picture this pathetic person who has just gotten used to liking the cheering crowds and an unlimited clothes budge all of a sudden being ignored and not liking it very much.

sounded really sad - if she was anything like a human being I would feel for her.

64. Fox news - "McCain aides talking - Sarah was a bitch!:.
Fox just reported that McCain aides are now telling all. She was a screamer and demanding. They held back so not to hurt the campaign. Wonder what else will eventually validate what we already knew. The freepers will now know what we did from the start.

65. Boo hoo....
Although, I think they were not only dissed but used. But, that's the way of the GOP... the party of the narcissist and the sociopath, the party that stops at nothing to take, keep and abuse power. If they couldn't see that they were tools (in every sense of the word), that were merely used, just as they had done in their climb to the top of the Republican dungheap of Alaska politics - if they were that dense, oh well! I don't feel the least bit sorry for them. I'm sure Sarah will get a cushy gig on teevee somewhere and stupid Tawd will race his idiot snowmachines. Big fuckin' whoop. I'm glad to be rid of them.

75. Tradition has it that...
only the presidential nominee gives a concession speech. I think she wanted to speak to the crowd. Most of them were there for her anyway.
