What position should Dennis Kucinich have in Obama's administration?
I'm a Dennis Kucinich Democrat. I hope that Dennis is offered a position in his
administration. What would be the ideal position for him?

and hopefully it will be used for peaceful ends in an Obama administration.

55. Actually, it's State+Justice.
That's all Kucinich's proposed department was, combining the functions of State and Justice. It was a rather ludicrous proposal, and one that reeks of 1984.

7. I love Kucinich
And if he can't be president, I want him to stay in the Congress where he can be totally free to speak and follow his own ideals. I think it would be a mistake to make him toe any line, including President Obama's.

President Obama.

Just wanted to say that again.

41. Speak For Yourself.
You're the one being divisive right now with your closed minded and resentful mentality.

All I did was offer opinion. I don't see any position in the cabinet that Kucinich would be more qualified for than someone else.

I can't see for a second why it would even be proposed, other than an idealistic but unrealistic mindset. The likelihood of him being appointed to something is probably one in a million, when looked at logically.

44. Yeah, right? I can't understand...
...why it seems like so many people don't get that Congressperson or Senator is one of the most powerful jobs on the planet. Why would someone give that up, particularly if they have a safe seat, for a cabinet position?

I believe that Sen. Clinton, who is one my senators, is going to replace Ted Kennedy as the grand old liberal of the Democratic Party, and that she will have her seat for another generation. Why would she trade that prestige for Sec of HHS?

Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 03:23 PM by Dover
Kucinich is representative of the Democratic wing of the Democratic Party.
But he has been ostracized as the far left wing of the current Democratic Party.

How he is treated will say volumes about the 'Obama Administration'.

47. None: We need his voice in congress
Kucinich shines when he serves as a gadly and as the conscience of the House.

Kucinich would be handcuffed in an administrative role, limited ion what he could say and do and restricted in the subject matter he'd be working on. And I suspect after looking at his presidential campaign, he is not a natural administrator to begin with.
