The biggest Debbie Downer in the world.

Downplaying the PA win.

Sheesh.

It's like she's not happy unless she's miserable.

2. She's been a little strange the past few days.
Edited on Tue Nov-04-08 08:14 PM by TwilightZone
I thought that she was just downplaying expectations to ensure that people get out and vote, but there's little reason to continue that this evening.

9. She's being cautious. A lot of this calling is done on basis of exit polling
Frankly, I'm not going to rejoice until we get the real numbers from the Secretaries of State.

4. Oh, come on. She's a reporter, not a cheerleader
And as I mentioned in another thread, there are still 3 hours to go on the West Coast and we can't have people not going to the polls because they think it's over. Think about that wicked proposition in California and the WA governor's race.

19. Point taken, but I still think she shouldn't jump the gun
and she may very well be trying to keep Californians going to the polls.

24. No, she is a political Pundit
with a point of view and not a journalist. That's like calling o'reilly a journalist.

7. wadafa?
her's is a sober, sane voice. Her analysis is her own. Where the fuck do you get off criticizing an opinion, without offering your own, and simply claim that she is "debbie downer"? ? ?

Look what happened in 2000 and 2004. Besides, she is the political expert not like the Faux News kind.

10. she's being a bit neurotic
I understand being nervous and playing things down so that one doesn't get their hopes up too high, but this is a bit much. It's probably her way of dealing with the anxiety she and we all have.

15. I Think You're Seeing a Very Human Rachel
She's worried, and rightly so. We've all had our early optimism shattered the last two elections. I'm not saying your irritation is unwarranted, but I think she's not ready to start doing jumping jacks just yet. Cut her a bit of slack will ya?

17. She's my favorite. I'm not looking for a cheerleader squad. I'm looking for analysts.
She and Thom Hartmann are both not stupid. I appreciate their cautious analysis, and if you listen, you'll here that she phrases even her description of potential challenges in an even-handed way.

22. Weren't you around for the last two "elections"?
It's not over 'til it's over. They're still actively trying to steal this. I'll breathe after the final point-after-touchdown and I see the numbers on the scoreboard.
