EXIT POLLS Does not include early voting......
Therefore useless in many states where early voting was huge....right?

4. I think it does in some states
Especially states like Colorado and Florida with significant early voting #'s. I know they incorporated a phone survey of early voters in Texas during the primary into the exit poll. But in a state like Virginia that does not have a history of huge early voting #'s they might not, and I think a lot of people in Arlington voted early so that might skew the day-of exit polls a little toward McCain.

5. They do
The exit poll consortium performed telephone polling of early voters yesterday and this morning and those numbers are included. That does not mean they are accurate however. They had to estimate what percentage early voting would make up of the total vote to know how to average early vote and exit polls. If they assumed early vote was only 25% of the total vote and it was in fact 40% or so, the numbers could be way off.

Edison has been polling people for two weeks and filtering out people who early voting. THEY ARE COUNTED.

9. exit polling can be combined w/known early voting results to be even MORE accurate
of course, don't hold your breath for the MSM to DO that
