2. Well OK, that's funny.

But I'm trying to be a good sport here. Though I doubt they would be good sports, still doesn't mean I have to be an asshole because they're assholes.

I tried to be nice to them once. They told me to move to France...not a horrible fate I will admit but it intones that they care more about this country than we do. They couldn't be more wrong.

I've received a similar sentiment from "freepers" as well. I use the name in quotes because I have yet to actually meet anybody who will admit they post on that website but I know many people who act like they do.

My last name is French. My family hails from Quebec and came to America in the 1920. One guy I know, told me in 2003, that I should change my name because it is going to get me in trouble. No joke, a veiled threat. Nobody had ever said something like that to me. I thought I was talking to the mafia or something. I've been threatened before, but always directly, never like that. And never because my name sounds (well is) French.
