essentially lifelong Repugs going into the voting booth and voting for the Dem candidate.

I believe that when it is all said and done - many lifelong Repugs that openly say they will vote for McCain when asked - will actually vote for Obama in the secrecy of the voting booth.

They are either embarrassed by Bush/Cheney and realize that we need a 'Change' or they are embarrassed by McCain/Palin after seeing how poorly his campaign was run and realizing that they would be getting another 4 years of a Bush type presidency with McCain - or embarrassed by both Bush/Cheney and McCain/Palin.

This will be called the "Obama Effect".
