Up, and ready to vote.

I love this. My husband (who until a year ago was still forced to just be "my boyfriend") is usually as apolitical as they come. He tolerated all my committee work, fascination with the minutiae, and obsession with the sport aspects of politics the way you would any strange hobby of the person you love.

This morning, he who almost never rises before 10 unless he has to, he who considers 2 AM to be an acceptable bedtime, who used to laugh at me when my job required me being on the road at 3:30 to be on the sir by 5, has insisted we both wake up early and be ready to go vote the second the polls open an hour from now.

And, of course, he wants to be the first person in line to vote for Barack Obama in our district.
