Another old white guy being elected is NOT historic.

There is only one historic choice in this race and that is of the first young charismatic African American nominee of a major party.

The history lies with Obama. And Mika is a bitch for saying Mccain would make history too.

9. I agree it is different but two things
1: We've already had a female VP candidate (Ferraro 1984). Palin's not the first.
2. Palin isn't at the top of the ticket the way Obama is at the top of ours. That makes a difference too.

But yeah I do understand the reasoning but I don't really accept it.

11. Yes, she's probably referring to Palin...
But I don't watch her show, so I don't know exactly what she said.
The first female VP would be an historic event, but her politics aren't right.

13. Zbigniew Brzezinski was the national security advisor to Carter.
He's a "dem" by association. But he's really a hawk.

Honest to God, those people have a chronic case of the stupids. I actually enjoyed the show during the primaries but since then it's been nauseating.

18. It would be historic, because it would be due to criminal activity, which would be evident.
It would be a huge scandal which the GOP would lose...so, yes, historic!
