We had 28 people today sent out 20 packets-I think, some have come back and the runner came and got them. We have some more still out.

I thought the 3PM launch would be light-next thing I know my living room and dining room are full of 20 people. Chanting, having some food, just loving it.

At least 15 of the 3PM launch were from Maryland-they are down here in Va. for the week. Two girls took the bus from DC-our intern (we had an intern!!) drove them and dropped them off at their canvass spot.

One of the women told us that there are two English women who moved here SIX MONTHS AGO specifically to work on the Obama campaign at one of the local offices.

:wow:

Incredible turnout. Just amazing. Lots of friends were made. I have heard "make sure you email me" several times as formerly complete strangers separated after a day of canvassing together. Amazing.

1. Wow, I am so jealous
I was in OH in 2004 for GOTV and it was amazing, amazing, amazing. Until the end, of course.

This year I wish I were in PA, or VA. Couldn't do it. My sister and her hubby were going to fly to PA from London just to help, but she got sick. If you know anything about those 2 English women (where they are from in England, etc.), I'm sure my sister would love to hear that story.

Go go go!

I'll be here in CA, getting as many Dems to the polls as possible to vote NO on 8.

2. I know, isn't it great?
We've had so many help us in Prince William County as well and the organization has been awesome. We had some really wonderful people come down from Annapolis to help us a few weeks ago and every weekend there are volunteers at the local office from everywhere. It's a mad house! Yesterday my canvassing efforts brought me to a townhouse community where every other yard had an Obama sign and the kids looked at my Obama shirt and followed me around like I was the Pied Piper. The parents were on their way to volunteer and there was so much positive energy I couldn't believe it.
