Wanted: Tough Questions for Presidential Debates
NiemanWatchdog.org is soliciting questions that President Bush and Senator Kerry should be asked at the upcoming presidential debates.

We're looking for submissions from experts and amateurs alike. We'll also be scouring blogs and other Web sites looking for questions being posed there.

Several days before each presidential debate, NiemanWatchdog.org will select what we think are the best questions for each candidate, and we'll announce the winners here — as well as in a press release to major media organizations across the country. We'll make extra sure the moderators see them, too.

If you have good questions you think should be asked, let us know. If you've run across some on other Web sites, let us know where.

--------------

Here's our chance to submit the question that will make Bush freeze up and start babbling in front of the whole country. Any suggestions?

1. Oh, this is a great idea! One of our DUers has a list of
questions that he(?) wanted Aaron Brown to be asking. Perhaps many of them would adapt well to a debate format.

2. "If rich people are avoiding paying, why should we then cut their taxes?
Whouldn't it be better to keep levels as they are in order to get as much as possible? Do you have any personal knowledge of said avoidance? Or is there data on this?

3. Here's one
Based on the fact that our national debt is now over $7 Trillion with no indication that it will be paid down in the near future, what do you have to say to future generations of Americans that will give them faith that your policies will help to reduce their tax burden in the years to come?

4. If what you say applies to taxes, why should we prosecute rich
people for any offense. They will get off anyway?

Are you Proud of yourself?
Are you drinking?
What the F**k is wrong with you?
sorry just had to get that out.
Can you provide proof that your plan will work and back it up with experts?

Can you give America one reason why we should not prosecute you for crimes you have committed?

7. One of the Problems with Framing a Question
is that it's so easy to give nonanswers to most questions. Sometimes the best are the simplest.

Personally, I like the one about the defecit: "Mr Bush, what are your plans to balance the federal budget?"
