I would recommend that no DUer ever watch Saturday Night Live again
Edited on Sat Nov-01-08 01:04 PM by RMP2008
Don't give them the ratings. Don't give them by extension the advertising dollars. This is the 3rd time in 3 weeks that they are shilling for Mccain. I was wondering. What can I do? I can stop watching? I urge all of you to stop watching as well. Let's help their ratings plummet.

That show stopped being funny when the original crew left.

5. I'm never up that late.
I TIVOed SNL for the Tina Fey segments but haven't watched the show in years and years.

But if people do like the show I see no reason to boycott it. McCain isn't going to win this election because of a SNL appearance.

11. Exactly Brent
And they did this during the primaries as well. Trying to tilt the scales. I'm sick of it. One Palin appearane was MORE THAN ENOUGH.

7. I wastch SNL once in a blue moon
but every time I do, it's a rereun -- AND it's one I've seen before.

I have no idea how they do that. It's the weirdest thing.

For giggles, I watch Graham Norton. Now, he's funny.

8. How have they been shilling for McCain?...
Edited on Sat Nov-01-08 01:06 PM by SidDithers
IMO, Tina Fey, with her amazing skewering of Palin, has had a huge impact on this election. She and SNL have made Palin look like a completely unqualified, vacuous moran.

If that's "shilling for McCain", I'd hate to see what really going after him would be like.

23. Right. Palin looked like a fool (not too surprising).
I don't watch SNL any more, but I think that if Palin's appearance there had any influence at all, it was negative.

13. i totally agree w/ you - it's SNL that "solidified" popular disdain for Palin ...
by showing her for what she is.

I say BRING it ON .. I LOVE when SNL invites republicans on.... it only helps us!

15. 4 examples
1. Right before the OH/TX primaries, their SNL skit accused the media of being biased in favor of Obama. Led towards a huge negative swing in media coverage of Obama before those critical primaries.
2. Having Palin on at all.
3. They made fun of Murtha and Kerry's comments last week.
4. Having Mcain on just 3 days before the vote.

They are dead to me now.

14. They aren't promoting McCain.

Far from it!

They've done more to discredit Palin through satire,
than any other media source,
EVEN though she was on their show a few weeks back.

A better reason to not watch that show is because it has sucked donkey balls for many years now.

24. SNL has hardly "helped" McPalin camp....Tina Fey's portrayal
of Palin was what got people to finally look past the superficial at this incredibly ignorant woman. Then they gave her enough rope to hang herself with her own appearance....

McShame will appear, but I seriously doubt he will win any converts from the exposure...

25. Yeah, SNL gets one of the biggest assists of the year
Tina Fey ruined Sarah Palin. Granted, Palin had a lot to do with it, but SNL helped drive that point home.
