McCain to appear on SNL?
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27460429/

To be fair both Obama and McCain should be on SNL.

1. They are really boasting about it too
Rick Davis said the skit will "knock your socks off" and will help win undecideds. Because you know Saturday Night Live and ignorant undecideds are what's important and what will win the election.

2. So, this past Wednesday when Obama was on The Daily Show...
should Jon Stewart also have featured McCain out of fairness?

7. Obama's appearance on The Daily Show, where he talks via satellite for a couple min., is nothing

compared to taking part in a funny skit on SNL the weekend before the election.

9. You can't be serious ... er ... can you?
Are you really suggesting that Saturday Night Live, a comedy show, has an obligation to host both candidates if they host either?

18. They do not have an obligation, but to be fair they should both appear on SNL.
The fact that you are comparing appearances on Daily Show to SNL is pretty telling.

23. Sure.
Last time McCain was on the Daily Show he joked about Iraqi insurgents blowing people up with IEDs.

I totally could have gone for a repeat.

4. Um yeah, Obama's a lil busy making history right now.
He's got three months between now and January 20th any weekend of which I'm sure Seth would be happy to write a skit for him.

8. A couple weeks ago they said OBAMA would be on Nov. 1st's SNL.
I wonder what happened! And I don't like it, because SNL IS influential. People may see the "old John McCain" (and not "old" as in age) and like him again.

12. your right
SNL gets 8 million viewers a show this season and if it's that good, the M$M will play it all day Sunday and give his campaign a lot of momentum in the final days. It certainly helped Hillary alot.

and ask him "what do you want me to do now, sir?". that would be perfect.

20. Hillary appeared on SNL just as the M$M narrative began saying "comeback"
Like the M$M is doing right now. Saying McCain is surging in PENN and such. This could push it into his direction again.

26. I can't believe that SNL would throw Obama under the bus...
and give McCain a potential +1, or +2 bounce in the polls. I have to believe it will be a joint appearance.

33. Obama cancelled his..
appearance because of the hurricane, and they were going to try and re-schedule. Maybe Obama is too busy? Ben Affleck is going to be the host, so I don't think it will be too pro-McCain. I think it will not be as bad as Sarah's appearance, but it should be interesting.

35. Lorne has donated to McShame
McCain was on SNL just a couple of months ago, Palin was on two weeks ago and Obama was on about a year ago. You would think they could have had Biden on or Obama since then.
