What I would like the first and last Obama sound-byte--and thus the only thing available for the news--to be on any Bin Laden election commentary.

(Why doesn't OBL cut to the chase and join the Mclaughlin Group?)

11. Well, you know Osama's brother stays with the Bushes when he visits the USA, don't you?
Osama's brother Bandar- he's such good friends with them
that his nickname is "Bandar Bush".

Isn't THAT just a fascinating coincidence?

12. Bandar's not a Bin Laden, he's a Saudi prince
But he is close friends with the Bin Ladens, as are the Bush Crime Family.

14. The real facts are good enough here.
Salem Bin Laden financed Chimpy's first failed business, Arbusto Energy. He also died in a bizzare plane crash in Texas right about the time the SEC was investigating Bush Crime Family business dealings when Poppy was running for president.

And then there's Shafiq Bin Laden, who was enjoying a champagne breakfast with Poppy Bush at a Carlyle Group meeting on a certain Tuesday morning in September 2001.

2. While I agree that Obama's response should be exactly that,
unfortunately, some people did let Osama tell them how to vote in '04.

6. Good point.
I suspect that some former Bush voters might be looking for a similar deal. :)

3. OBL wants McCain, of course. Republicans have allowed OBL to run wild and free
since 9/11/2001.

And never has al Qaeda had such a SURGE in membership.

And that, MFing rightwingnuts, is simple (like yourselves) FACT.

9. No, here's what he needs to say....
"Maybe if we stayed focused on Al Qaeda, as I wanted to do, instead of invading Iraq, as John McCain and George Bush wanted to do, the man responsible for killing 3,000 Americans would have been brought to justice."

10. That's what Kerry and Gore would have said. (Love 'em both, but not punchy talkers.)
There are arguments you want to win and arguments you don't want to have.

It's best to dispose of this story, not litigate it. (Even as a winnable argument there's no upside. It would take time from better arguments.)
