On Nov. 5, the Big Story of this election will be...
The impact of early voting.

The numbers I'm reading about how many people are voting early is phenomenal. Obama's campaign has done a great job of getting people to the polls early. This will help make the lines on election day shorter and create fewer hassles.

It's also indicative of the level of enthusiasm, mostly among Dems. I'm so impressed.

3. Turnout
With the way early voting has exploded and so many large states don't even have it (NY, NJ, etc), I think that'll be the eye opening story.

4. I will be on the ground at probably the worst polling location Franklin County Ohio will produce
Edited on Thu Oct-30-08 03:23 PM by mtnester
and my prediction will be it will be the same as 2004, lines just as long (ON EDIT - TO CLARIFY...I am talking about nightmare overcrowded polling locations with 5 hours or more waits to vote, not the outcome, which I am hopeful on)

Also, Ohio has new ID requirements which will lead to massive confusion (see long lines and provisional ballot nightmares)

But hey, I think the weather will be nice that day, and if you all could send a prayer to the weather gods to please please PLEASE not send anything cold and wet.....

I do not think Ohio will be the only state with problems. I am hoping my brothers and sisters in our neighboring state PA are diligent and prepared....McCain's cave is there right now, be wary!

(on edit - "i" before "e" except after "c" or when sounded like "a" as in neighbor and weigh)
