For some reason, I feel better about things today than I have in a couple weeks

Maybe it is seeing the national tracking polls widen again, even before the effect of last night's events.

Maybe it is seeing that Obama is going to make another trip to Nevada (which I think will lead to a surprise rally in Arizona - under the McCain camp's radar until it is too late to spin it)

Maybe it was hearing the Big Dawg last night and KNOWING that he can move Obama's numbers up to 3% in Florida.

Maybe it is seeing more rats jumping the McCain ship.

Maybe it is the news out today that the economy shrunk in the last quarter - which means we're definitely in a recession - which we all knew, but which is now backed up by hard facts. The recession doesn't make me happen, but it drives the narrative this weekend.

Maybe it is the fact that it appears that McCain is out of hail marys. The Khalidi pass fell incomplete.

Maybe it was last night's 30-minute ad which has inspired me supremely today, and leaving me with no doubt about what is going to happen on Tuesday.

Maybe it was all of those things.... but I have a very different feeling today than yesterday. I think this is really going to happen.
