I'm livid (close encounters with the moronic, Freeper kind on my blog)
So yesterday, I posted an entry on my blog (which I have linked in my profile on here) about Colorado being moved into the "likely Obama" category on the map projection. Nothing "complacent" or "presumptuous", just naturally, as any supporter of a candidate who is doing well would be, excited about that. Well this morning, I log on to find this bullshit, from some anonymous, Freeper type who, might I add, didn't even have the balls to sign their username to it:

The Polls Are "In The Tank"- just like the Media

Don't count your chickens.
The American people have not been to the polls yet- and the polls are heavily skewed Democratic, even the Wasington Post says so.

Americans who have love of God and country, Americans who don't believe in Socialism- ANGRY Americans who are lashing back at the media who has perpetrated the fraud that is Barack Obama.

It's up to the people who love and respect America- and want to build her UP- not knock her down- go to the polls Tuesday- or before if they early voting- and vote McCain-Palin.
And don't waste your vote on a write-in candidate-
the race is too close and Obama's ACORN is busily stuffing the ballot boxes.

I guess I'm just so fucking sick and tired of hearing this whining--yes, WHINING--from the Right but moreover, TIRED of having my patriotism or belief system called into question because I do not see things they way they do. Not just during this election cycle, either. They've been doing this to us forever, particurally in the last eight years, and I am SICK of it. And I let them know as much, in my reply below:

Re: The Polls Are "In The Tank"- just like the Media

Ah yes, the beacon of liberal ideals that is the Washington Post..*rollseyes* LOL. Give me a break..

You know, I normally don't include random, anonymous postings on my blog (simply because I feel that if one has a stance they feel is strong enough, they should have the balls to sign their username to it). But I'm making an exception this time, simply because I am, quite frankly, damn tired of hearing these argument from the right. First of all, I hate to break it to you my friend, but there is no "liberal media". Sure, there are liberal/progressive voices on channels like CNN and MSNBC, but also plenty of more right leaning ones. But we don't have our own freakin' NETWORK (like you have Fox News). Where was the "liberal media" when Bush took us into war under false pretenses? Where was the media when John Kerry was getting swiftboated? The media is owned by corperations like GE, who would love nothing more than for there to be decades MORE of neo-con, corporate greed role in this country. We progessives have to FIGHT for every voice we DO get.

But what gets me even more about your comment is your ASSumption that people who are voting for Barack Obama or are Democrats are somehow less loving or appreciative of America or have less faith in God than people backing McCain. Excuse me, but who the hell are you to make such a blanket judgment? How the fuck do you know how "patriotic" I am or what I believe? Apart from this LJ entry, you don't know me at all. We Democrats DO fucking love our country! Our vote is worth every bit as yours and if Barack Obama is, indeed, elected next week---and for the record, who ever said I had counted my chickens? If you had even bothered to actually READ what I had posted, you'd have sensed my cautious brand of optimism--he will be YOUR president and you will have to get "used to" it, the same way your side always told us to get "used to" Bush. Now to be fair, I don't know you, so I don't know who you voted for the last time (if you even did at all), but you quite frankly sound like someone who probably voted for Bush (and if you vote for McCain, you are voting for someone who went along with him 90% of the time...), so what's happened over the last 8 years--and what is dragging your party so down in the polls--WAS at least partly of your making. You guys have had 20 of the last 28 years so if the voters next week do finally reject your agenda (and c'mon, as cautious as I am, ALLL these polls are not, logically, "in the tank". Were they "in the tank" when they showed Bush up on Kerry this time 4 years ago?), it should come as no surprise..

Then again, I know this post will have no effect on you. But this is my stance on these right wing talking points in general. And if I am somehow a "socialist" or somehow not as loving of "God and country" as you for saying it, then so be it. I AM a Democrat and yes, I am a LIBRRULLL, and guess what? I'm PROUD of it and fuck anyone who has a problem with my right, as every bit an AMERICAN as you or anyone on your side is, to be such.

Alright, so I got in their face, lol, but I've had it up to HERE with their shit and can't wait 'til next week, when they--if there is any justice at all in this world--crawl back into that deep hole they crawled out from.... :grr:

Okay, I'm done now...

1. One quibble with your reply...
(1) they have no "argument"; the term "mindless drivel" is more applicable.

Otherwise, WAY TO GO! Whoever pulls your foot out of the freeper's ass is due to be proclaimed rightful King of the Britons...

:yourock:

3. Haha, you're right. I'm too nice, I guess. :p
I try to be patient and understanding of the opposite sides' views, I really do. But when what is left of their base is morons like this one, it gets pretty hard to do...

But thanks! :)

2. Eh, all those people posting are missing a chromosome
I would feel sorry for them for being so uneducated and uninformed (it's obvious they aren't the brightest people in the country), but they are just such big assholes that I have no remorse.

Just ignore, or laugh at them. I had someone call me an "Obama sheep" the other day on some youtube comments, so I just responded with:

"
/point
/laugh

LOL, bwahaha, you're so fucking dumb i can't stop laughing now."

They never responded again. You CAN'T help these people because they DON'T want help. They're comfortable with their worldview, no matter how racist or wrong it may be, so why bother. Just point and laugh at them, they are worthy only of our derision at this point. Hopefully they're children will see their parents being laughed at by other people and decide that they'd like to educate themselves to avoid the bitter and depressing lifestyle of their parents.

4. "but they are just such big assholes that I have no remorse"--So true!

I mean, there are a few decent, seemingly well meaning (though misguided) ones (like the few I know in real life..) left, but the majority of them seem angry, aimless, and quite frankly desperate. And you can always tell when a campaign is going under when all they can do is blame the (non-existent) "liberal media".. :eyes:

So if everything goes well next week, I will feel somewhat sympathetic to that remaining few, but will have no problem whatsoever laughing in the face of the ones like "Anonymous" and the death of their party as they know it.

5. I don't even have sympathy for the nice ones anymore...
In my opinion, if in 2008 you're willing to put an (R) next to your name then you're complicit in the theft of our country and ignorant to the vile, racist, hatred that comes out of the Republican party.

I have zero respect for ANYONE (no matter how nice they are to my face) who votes Republican these days because I know that when the voting curtain closes, they revert to sniveling, selfish, racist, ignorant fucktards.
