When has John McCain been "Tested"????
Edited on Thu Oct-30-08 08:16 AM by KansasVoter
He keeps saying on the stump that "I have been tested".....

What is he talking about? Just because he was a POW he was tested? Being caught and held as a POW tested him to handle a crisis as president? So any POW would qualify?

Am I missing something here?

21. That is so immature.
What he's talking about is that Cindy had him tested for STDs after porking all those lobbyists.

5. Here is his ridiculous reasoning.
McCain: We don’t want a president who invites testing from the world at a time when the economy is in crisis. Americans are already fighting in two wars, my friends. Senator Biden referred to how Jack Kennedy was tested in the Cuban missile crisis. I had a little personal experience on that. I was a pilot on board the USS Enterprise, I was ready to go into combat at any minute, I know how close we came to a nuclear war, and I will not be a president that needs to be tested!

14. That's the explanation I heard , too
but no mention of any momentous decisions facing him that really "tested" him. He sat on a flight deck in a jet under orders. Some "test". He was there, big deal.

17. McCain is the one who invites trouble. He is provocative for no good reason, as with
Edited on Thu Oct-30-08 08:43 AM by No Elephants
"Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran." He is intemperate. He is nuts. And no one yet has made much of his drinking, but I have yet to read that he gave it up and is a teetotaler now.

He thinks Gramm is a financial genius and Palin is a great VP pick.

Often, he sounds as though he may not be tracking, especially when fatigued. I don't especialy care what causes it, whether age, booze, fatigue, his IQ or anything else. That it happens too often is enough.

As for Palin, she does not know which end is Tuesday; and the rest of the world can see that as well as I can.

When that 3a.m call comes, please put me in the hands of the smart, sober, temperate guy who knows how to choose advisors.

24. He is such a coward and blowhard.
He has never been tested in his life, from all I've read - he ducked all challeneges, he was "ready to go", but didn't "go". When the fire started on the Forrestor, he freaking RAN from the plane and hid in the lounge on the ship, watching it unfold on the tv! I mean, guys DIED, others attempted rescues, and all McCain does is run from his plane to save his own hide, and watch people die from the comfort of the tv lounge? When I read that in the Rolling Stone, it just made me sick. You just don't do that, and then pretend like you are even remotely qualified to be my CIC.

The one time he screwed up and was captured while ditching yet another plane - no offense to the guy, but he cracked like an egg and ran like a coward to the confessional. Sorry, but not every guy in the same circumstance did that - at the least, it should not be a bragging point for him as to why that little failed POW experience somehow makes him qualified as CIC. What a dope.

I listen to his bitch about Obama's lack of experience, and his contrast of that to all of his years in Congress being all mavericky. And all it says to me is that it didn't work so well, did it? How come we are in this mess if John Sydney has been doing such a great job himself? I mean, lots of people have years of doing the same thing, which they call "experience", but it is the quality of it, not the quantity of years, that means everything. Oh yeah, that's right - he needs to a president to get things done (or as he joked/not so much joked ..."if I were a dictator.."). I don't even know any earth shaking, great for the American public things that he has ever done while messing around pretending to be a Senator of some merit, instead of a guy who gets positions based strictly on who his dad and granddad were, or who Cindy's dad knew in the mob.

I have watched him whine like a baby over how much Obama can outspend him, and that why he gets to do the big flashy infomercials, and all those ads.

I told dh last nite - so when someone does test McCain (because they know he is a complete fraud and coward), what is he going to do? Say "I TRIED to fight our enemies, but I don't have their resources...I don't enough MONEY....I can't COMPETE unless I have the MONEY because I am too stupid to strategize...it isn't fair that they have a better military, what am I supposed to do". I mean, it is not like Obama started out with a Clinton sized pile o'cash. McCain could have done the same damn thing, except he is too dumb to know how.

McCain is a complete incompetent person who advanced solely due to the status of his dad and grandpa; and is a complete fraud as far as accomplishments. I never realized the extent of it until this campaign season.

6. That's what I want to know! According to McCain...
he "knows how to win wars", "knows how to fix this economy", "knows how to capture Osama bin Laden", but has never outlined one single time the steps he'd take to do such things. Using McCain's logic, you can all rest assured, because I know how to create alternative fuel sources, I know how to fix our healthcare system AND I know how to fix The Cheesecake Factory's Spicey Cashew Chicken!

I scream at the TV "ask him how he's been tested!". No one does. He gets away with saying it without having to explain every damn time.

13. McCain was tested while a POW. He made propaganda films for his captors, but he did refuse.
to be released out of turn when he could have been.

I am female. When I was about 24, I had a broken arm that remained unset for a lot of hours, but under 10. (Once it's set, it feels better.) One unset broken arm really hurts. I think I would have passed out if both arms had been broken.

If both arms had been broken and gone unset for months and the only way to make the pain go away was to make a films against my country, I honestly don't know what I would have done, even if I had been terrified of my father.

If I did make the films, though, I would not have had the cajones to make noun, verb, POW a centerpiece of my campaign.

That's all I will say, one way or the other.

22. He was "tested" at the Naval Academy and came in 4th from LAST!!!
he is a complete washed up FAILURE. it disgusts me beyond words that he left his wife and kids for cindy who was 20+ years younger and was mega-rich. That to me, shows just what John McCain is made of. It's him first and everyone else can screw themselves.. that's what he think "maverick" means.. "me me me me me!!".

what an ASSHOLE!
