The inner circle surrounding Bush/Cheney got the deals on the Oil inside the newly "liberated" Iraq.

They get the missing nine billion dollars from the Reconstruction Funds for rebuilding Iraq.

They made us into more of a nation of sheep than ever. Now we stand in long lines to board planes, no longer even attempting to bring milk or water aboard for ourselves or our children.

We watch as local budgets shrivel while Homeland Security forces gooble up the taxpayer monies.

7. Don't forget this, either: Al Gore specifically mentioned Osama bin Laden in his 2000 platform.

If Al Gore was elected, I feel safe in saying there wouldn't have even been a 9/11 at all.

How do I know? Because Cheney and Bush were focusing on missile defense, not terrorism. But Gore and the Democratic party already had Osama bin Laden in their sights. I know this excerpt from the 2000 Democratic Platform is long, but the difference is striking. Imagine how different our world would be today if Gore was elected and 9/11 never happened:

Whether terrorism is sponsored by a foreign nation or inspired by a single fanatic individual, such as Osama Bin Laden, Forward Engagement requires trying to disrupt terrorist networks, even before they are ready to attack.
