to bring us an equivalent triumph.
Read Napoleon Hill's "Think & Grow Rich", and you'll see what I mean.
Obama is the law of attraction in action, in the words of a dear friend:
The Law of Attraction. The Secret. It has been all abuzz over the past year, although the concepts are not new. Even Napolean Hill espoused the principle that our thinking has a profound impact on our success or failure in his classic 1937 best-seller Think and Grow Rich. The book was based on his interviews with hundreds of immensely successful people of that time.
...
Here we are faced with the profound opportunity to elect a new leader, yet only one of our candidates really embodies what the Law of Attraction embraces. Only one candidate seems to bring forward the vision for a higher plane of humanity. Only one candidate seems to see the beauty and divinity in all people, without deference to race, religion or status. Only one candidate seems to view all the world as One. Only one candidate radiates a state of confidence and grace. Barack Obama is the only one who seems to get it.
I hear people speak about how we must kill off the terrorists, fight the bad guys there so we don’t have to fight them here, etc. Resist, resist, resist. Strike before we are struck. What amazes me is that some of these are the same people who praise The Secret, which says to me they haven’t a clue about what it means.
The more we resist terror, the more we reinforce it. What makes us think the Law of Attraction operates any differently on a global level? Not only is the principle the same but it is magnified by the collective energy of a nation. What we pay attention to--what we think about, is what we create more of. It matters not whether it is our own health or our national security. The more we watch broadcasts of violence and genocide and torture and war, the more we listen to politicians telling us how dangerous and evil the world is, the more we as a society will make it so. We are perpetuating exactly what we do not want.
