Charles Barkley: Fox News "Fucked Up"
Edited on Wed Oct-29-08 01:45 PM by dennis4868
Charles Barkley, the former NBA star, 2014 candidate for Alabama Governor, and one-time proud Republican, trashed Fox News in an interview with television trade publication Broadcasting & Cable, saying the network is "fucked up" and "corrupt," and that he prefers CNN.

B&C's Ben Grossman reports:

"I watch CNN, they're not fucked up like Fox," Barkley told B&C. "They are a mouthpiece for the Republican Party. I watch a couple times when there is someone I want to see on there. But they're corrupt."

When asked whether he is just shilling for his parent company (TNT and CNN are corporate cousins), Barkley denies that he has to stick up for his team.

3. I think he's still pretty hardcore anti-gay, and he's got a lot of jackass statements...
That'll kill him.

I'm not convinced he's very bright, either. Of course, it's only Alabama we're talking about - I'm sure he's a standard deviation or two above the average there.

9. Yes, he used to tell a story
about how his grandmother asked him one day why he was a Republican, because the Republican party was for "rich people". He told her "I AM rich".
But later he saw the light- realized that he could be rich AND smart.

12. One of my former roommates banged Barkley
He's gross. Picked her up in a meat market dance bar in Cleveland and asked her to come back to his room at the Ritz. We tried to talk her out of it sourcing Magic Johnson and others but she did it anyway. He gave her $200 for a cab ride back to about 30 miles south of Cleveland the next day.

I picked up the phone one day and it was him calling her. I asked how many girls he'd slept with since my roomate. He called me an asshole. Must have hit a nerve.
