Last week I was going out of my way NOT to listen to any of the McCain/Palin events but ever since McJackass's disastrous appearance on Meet the Press--and in light of our comfortable lead--I'm beginning to take perverse pleasure in watching this master implosion. I've never seen a campaign self-immolate like this before in my life. It's like watching the Wicked Witch melt.

I don't think all the "free" appearances in the world can help them now. The media is just handing out more rope for them to hang themselves with.

You can't even go to lunch at McDonald's without hearing a half dozen conversations, saying "war hero", "experienced", "she's beautiful" when talking about McCain and "N****r", "Muslim", "liberal", "socialist" when they're talking about Obama. Thank goodness this weekend we went camping out in the middle of nowhere with some like minded friends. No TV, no radio, no internet, just smart people and some really great weather.
