The talking heads are half pregnant today

Strange day...

TV talking head are now quite comfortable being openly dismissive of the idea that Sarah Palin will be Vice President. They talk about "what's next" for Palin, what things will be like when she returns to Alaska, etc..

But nobody is openly dismissive of the idea that McCain will be President. They talk about how elections are full of surprises, a week is a lifetime, fat lady sings, blah blah blah.

Think about it.

and I can't say I'm surprised, especially if many of these folks characterize "tough questioning" as asking someone to prove a negative (see Barbara West's "How's that not marxist?" questioning over the weekend)
