Mitch McConnell should be our biggest target in the Senate
and unseating the obstructionist prick should be our #2 priority after electing Obama in the last days before the election! Not only because we need his seat, but because of the message it would send to the Republicans.

Rather than trying to work with the Democratic majority after the 2006 election, McConnell brazenly and obnoxiously directed his caucus to veto anything that our side tried to accomplish, so that his party could run against a 'do nothing' Congress in 2008. Yet another example of Repugs putting politics over what's good for the country.

Removing him would likely put an end to this practice, even if we don't get to 60 votes.

I'm not sure that we can even get a veto-proof majority under any circumstances.

Our opponents have proven that they know how to rig elections, but unless the polls tighten considerable, they may not be able to credibly steal it for McCain.

This is not the case with many of the down-ticket races, so I suspect we will 'lose' some key Senate contests thanks to the "Diebold effect".

2. It's close....
I don't know if it's going to happen, but it's closer than you'd think here. Statistical dead heat at the moment, actual poll says McConnell has a maybe 3 point lead.

4. very tough
Tough... very tough.

Not enough time to tie McConnell & his wife; Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao to the Job losses in the US economy. All politics are local...

10. Oh, he isn't. But the AFL-CIO is supporting more pro-labor candidates in other states.

11. They should look at the larger picture.
Obama will not be a successful president if the Senate is able to filibuster his entire agenda. Removing McConnell could make all the difference, even if we don't get to 60 votes!

14. Running against McConnell (or, I suppose, Bunning) is about the only way Lunsford gets my vote.
But he gets it Nov. 4, all the same.

Good luck, Bruce, you snake.

15. No need he is a multi-millionaire financing his own campaign
one of few who had the money to run against him. Yarmuth also with Northup for congress. I can say he supported Fletcher a republican GOV who lost re-election. His crowds look weak and enthusiasm is down.
