the GOP has an idiot problem.
It used to be their idiot advantage: racist, creationist, know-nothing book-burners who could be counted on to vote Republican in return for the promise of overturning Roe v. Wade married to old-school economic conservatives. It worked for a long time.

But it's been decades since that promise was first made, and with Roe still the law of the land, waning support among the stupids made it necessary for John McCain to elevate one of their own to the vice-presidential nomination. That act sealed his, and his party's, ultimate failure.

It's almost a pity that Ronald Reagan isn't around to watch the disintegration.

9. This is only because McGollum is win at all cost
and shortsighted. He has cut the need for the people with brains out of the puzzle. Now they hunger to be lead by idiots just like themselves. They have turned on the Wall Street/Country Club/Elite wing, the only thing holding them in check is money because they're too cheap and/or broke to fund their whack job candidates.

10. They've just drawn the idiot line so far in that only the insane can stay.
I remember that HuffPo piece by the former McCain supporter saying that if the GOP turned their racism loose on Obama, and tried to paint him as an alien instead of dealing with him on the issues, they'd condemn themselves to generations of irrelevance.

And then YouTube ripped off all the sewer manhole covers. OMG.

I would so love three generations of partisan wrangling between Progressives and Moderate Liberals.

Oh yeah.
